There is something rather special about coming home.
After spending the last 13 wonderful years living in Bournemouth, life has brought me back to Crowborough, and I'm delighted to be launching Art Classes Crowborough. Returning to East Sussex feels like the perfect opportunity to build a welcoming creative community where people of all abilities can discover, develop and enjoy their artistic talents.
From Bournemouth to Crowborough
My journey as an art tutor has been incredibly rewarding. Since 2023 I've been teaching adult art classes in Bournemouth, helping complete beginners take their very first steps with a pencil or paintbrush, while also supporting more experienced artists as they developed their own style and confidence.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching has been seeing people surprise themselves. Time and time again I've watched students arrive saying, "I can't draw," only to leave a few weeks later with artwork they're genuinely proud of. Watching confidence grow alongside artistic skills is why I love teaching.
Now I'm bringing that same friendly, encouraging approach to Crowborough.

Many of my previous students joined simply looking for a new hobby, but discovered so much more. Classes became a chance to unwind after busy weeks, meet new people, improve wellbeing and enjoy a few hours away from everyday pressures.
There's something incredibly satisfying about watching a blank sheet of paper slowly become something uniquely your own.

Having lived away for over a decade, I've always loved the beautiful countryside, creative spirit and friendly community that make this area such a wonderful place to live.
